His Republican opponent JD Vance may have only managed to raise $3.6 million but he has something that is more important to a certain wing of the Republican faithful, the endorsement of Trump. This endorsement may cost him his credibility as the former venture capitalist, who achieved widespread fame with his best-selling 2016 memoir-turned-Netflix-film “Hillbilly Elegy,” was once a staunch “Never Trumper.”
‘Forgiveness’ might not seem to be a part of Trump’s vocabulary, but he has now fully embraced the candidate who once described him as ‘America’s Hitler.’ The Republicans desperately want to secure Ohio, so are willing to let statements like that slide and although Trump is on the JD Vance train now, he couldn’t help himself having a little potshot by saying at a recent rally in Ohio that “JD is kissing my ass, he wants my support so bad!”
