7. There Are Always Two Sides to a Story

It should be noted that the only Republicans taking part in these hearings are the representative for Wyoming, Liz Cheney, and the representative for Illinois’s 16th congressional district, Adam Kinzinger. Neither of which are likely to be around for much longer as Cheney risks losing her upcoming GOP primary and Kinzinger has decided not to run for reelection.

While it is true that Democrats have actively prevented any Republican who supported the ‘big lie’ and sided with Trump’s corrupt and fraudulent election narrative from taking part in the hearings, we are now learning that those same Republicans sought pardons from Trump for their efforts to undermine the election on his behalf. A somewhat bizarre thing to ask for if they truly believed the election was stolen.
