4. The Investigation Is Learning New Information

The committee’s public hearings in June began kind of feeling like a staged managed production to make the right side of the aisle look worse than they are currently making themselves look. However, with one bombshell revelation after another, the committee really is finding out some new and very troubling information which had lead them to issue new and unexpected subpoenas.

One of those aforementioned subpoenas is for former White House counsel Pat Cipollone. Cipollone notably defended Trump in the former President’s first impeachment trial but according to several people close to the White House lawyer, he actively encouraged the former president to accept the results of the election. He was also one of the people close to the administration that shot down the crazy legal theory that Vice President Mike Pence could simply throw out election results from certain states.
