Is Putin Losing The War In Ukraine?

Although the validity of this letter remains as yet unconfirmed, the life of V.V. Tarasenko is believed to have ended in the recent counter-offensive by Ukrainian forces in their ultimately successful attempt to retake large portions of Kharkiv province. And while the letter remains a possible propaganda tool by the Ukrainians, letters like this and intercepted phone calls of confused and disenchanted Russian soldiers show that this kind of feeling is far from isolated or contrived.

The feelings and lack of support expressed by this literal cannon fodder on the front lines of the Russian offensive not only show a basic level of discontent amongst the Russian grunts, but highlight just how little regard Putin has for his own frontline troops as he does for the people of Ukraine.
