9. Rep. Mike Bost (R – IL) – Marine Corps

Mike Bost (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. House, representing Illinois’ 12th Congressional District. Born on December 30, 1960, raised in Baptist. He assumed office on January 6, 2015. His current term ends on January 3, 2023.

In 1979, Mike Bost graduated from Murphysboro High School. After completing high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps serving his country from 1979 to 1982. Later trained as an electronic specialist and radar repairman and received an honorable discharge as a Corporal E-4.

Bost’s campaign themes include; Improving Agriculture, Moving Toward Energy Independence, Moving Our Economy Forward, Accessible & Affordable Healthcare, Reining in Government Spending, Protecting Social Security & Medicare and Guaranteeing 2nd Amendment Rights.
