The last Titanic survivor died in 2009
Rose in 1997’s Titanic was supposed to live a healthy life until 101 years old, but in reality, the last survivor of the Titanic died at 97 years old in 2009. According to BBC, the youngest passenger on the ship was Millvina Dean, who was boarded with her parents and brother at only two months old.
Even if she managed to escape in a lifeboat with her mother and her brother, her father went down with the ship. The last survivor with a memory of the event, even if she rarely agreed to talk about it, was American Lilian Asplund, who was five in 1912 and died at age 99 in 2006.
