The Titanic is returning to nature
A 2019 expedition to the wreck of the Titanic discovered that the ship is rapidly deteriorating because of ocean currents, salt corrosion, freezing temperatures, and meta-eating bacteria.
As Park Stephenson, a Titanic historian, told the BBC, the ship is “returning to nature” at a rapid pace. All the favorite images preferred by enthusiasts, with the captain’s bathtub, or the whole deckhouse, are now gone.
