Arlyne Brickman

Arlyne was born in 1933 in a Jewish family in East Harlem. Growing up, Arlyne idolized the glamor and authenticity of Virginia Hill. She even worked for the mob as a numbers runner, drug dealer, and even loan shark.

However, her Jewish heritage didn’t allow her to raise up in the ranks of the Sicilian-run crime syndicate. However, the money and power were good enough to satisfy her.

Brickman became the subject of the non-fiction book called “Mob Girl: A Woman’s Life in the Underworld”, written by Teresa Carpenter, and published by Simon & Schuster.
