While war rages on in Ukraine, many media outlets have become fixated with the theory that Putin is waging this war on his closest neighbor because he has nothing to lose as he is apparently on death’s door. Various media outlets have run the story that Putin has some sort of terminal illness, although which illness the leader of Russia is suffering from varies from story to story, and that it’s very likely that Vladimir Putin is actually dying.
Everything from Parkinson’s to any number of types of cancer, the idea that Putin is on a mission to restore Russia to its former glory before he shuffles off this mortal coil has really taken hold. But why has this story gained such traction and is it actually true? Here we are going to take a look at a few reasons why, if it is true, it could impact us all, and a few reasons why the whole thing might be wishful thinking instead of a cold hard truth.
