Vermont

31. Becca Balint

Serving as the president pro tempore of the Vermont Senate since 202, Balint’s election victory to the state’s at-large district will not only make her the first woman Vermont have sent a woman to Congress, but she also has the distinction of being the first out LGBTQ person elected to Congress from Vermont.

32. Charity Clark

Previously serving as chief of staff to Democratic Attorney General T.J. Donovan, she would tender her resignation to run for state attorney general in the Vermont Attorney General election, as her former boss Donovan was not seeking reelection. She would easily defeat Republican Mike Tagliavia with 65% of the vote, becoming the first woman ever elected Attorney General of Vermont.
