Anti-trans trolling
In the same month, she also took the time to troll some of her colleagues, such as the Illinois Democrat Marie Newman, whose office is right next to hers. Newman hung up a transgender outside her office, to support her trans daughter.
Greene answered the gesture by placing a sign that said: “There are TWO genders: Male & Female. Trust the Science!” She also publicly denunciate Newman for supporting the Equality Act, stating that the act will only “destroy women’s rights and religious freedoms.”
Schools are “teaching you how to be racist”, and “promote s*x”
Greene adhered to the chorus of right-wingers who claimed that schools shouldn’t teach kids that the U.S. has a history of racism, or that LGBTQ+ people exist.
She also tweeted a video of a child who was obviously traumatized, and addressed a school board meeting in Indiana adding that “teaching racism and promoting s*x, homose*uality, & normalizing transgender to kids is nothing but emotional child abuse.”
Trans people only have “unnatural fantasies”
Remember when Greene went all in on the trans subject again, and she freaked out over a streamed TV series where a trans woman was in the spotlight, in her attempt to breastfeed her child (now, trans women can breastfeed with the help of hormones)?
To MTG, the act was seen as “child abuse”, born out of the “unnatural fantasies” of trans people. She also went out after her fellow Republican Caitlyn Jenner, who was campaigning for governor of California.
The “Gazpacho Police”
Greene made another infamous gaffe when she accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of Nazi-inspired tactics, right after the Capitol Police made a routine security check of one of her colleague’s office.
While she appeared on the right-wing One America News, Greene referred to “Nancy Pelosi’s gazpacho police spying on various members of Congress, but also on the legislative work that we do, on our staff and on all the American citizens that might want to come and talk to their representatives.”
Pelosi also noted that she has no control whatsoever over the Capitol Polie, while Greene was rightfully roasted on social media for confusing “gazpacho” with “Gestapo”.
There are many things you need to know about MTG and other Republican folks like her.
