President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963
Kennedy was by far one of the most charismatic leaders we’ve ever had. Unfortunately, he was fatally shot twice by Lee Harvey Oswald while he was part of a public celebration marching up through Dallas, Texas.
The nation’s consuming grief over this tragic event allowed his successor, Lyndon B. Johnson, to pass two anti-segregation laws, which are known as the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act.
Many people concluded that his assassination was premeditated, since on the morning of November 24, while his assassin was transferred from a jail cell to an interrogation office, Oswald was shot by a “distraught” Dallas club owner, known as Jack Ruby. Ruby was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death.

Lincoln assassinated in “1965”???
Abraham Lincoln was not assassinated in 1965. It was 1865.
I’m no history buff but I’m pretty sure Lincoln was assassinated way before 1965.
If my memory serves me correct, President Lincoln was not assassinated in 1965?
1865, not 1965!
Lincoln was still alive in 1965? I wish I had known, as I would like to have met him. LOL
Lincoln was NOT assassinated in 1965, you are a century late!!
It is too bad that this generation knows NO history!!
To start with , you might want to address the glowing error with the date of President Lincoln’s assassination. The year was 1865, NOT 1965!!! Ooooops!!!
That’s odd, I was 14 years old in 1965 but I don’t remember the Lincoln assassination. Also Obama didn’t deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.
