- Las Vegas, October 1, 2017Â – In October 2017, a gunman named Stephen Paddock opened fire on a large crowd that was attending the Route 91 Harvest festival. He fired at those people from his 32nd-floor room at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Casino. The frenzy lasted over 15 minutes, as there were many concertgoers who panicked and tried to take over, not knowing where the fire was coming from. By the moment everything ended, 58 people were already killed, and more than 850 were injured. A police SWAT unit discovered where the attacker was staying, broke into his room, and found Paddock dead by suicide.
