Has Elon Musk Just Destroyed Twitter?

He started his downfall by tweeting (and then deleting) an unfounded, anti-LGBTQ conspiracy theory about the Paul Pelosi attack to Hilary Clinton, causing outrage as many pointed to the source, The Santa Monica Observer, as being the same tabloid dumpster that claimed Clinton had died and been replaced by a body double. Advertisers had seen enough and many started pulling back from buying promotional placements on Twitter.

This move by advertisers, who were unsure of the direction Musk was taking the company in, would have an immediate and catastrophic on Twitter’s finances. Musk himself would admit that “Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue,” but would not place the blame on his own erratic, irresponsible and chaotic behavior. Instead, he would blame the revenue losses on what he called “activist groups” who he said were “pressuring advertisers.”
