Here’s what we have learned about Mr. Trump’s financial situation so far.
New York Attorney General Letitia James has been relentless in her pursuit of the former president and his three oldest children, The Trump Organization, and two of its executives, Allan Weisselberg and Jeff McConney, suing them for a staggering $250 million lawsuit that accuses the Trumps of “grossly” inflating the former president’s net worth by billions of dollars and cheating lenders and others with false and misleading financial statements.
She also aims to bar Mr. Trump and his children from ever doing business in New York again. Trump has tried to countersue (again) to shield his revocable trust from the New York Attorney General, citing her ‘bias’ against him and claiming in the complaint against her, “James has repeatedly abused her position as attorney general for the state of New York to pursue a relentless, pernicious, public and unapologetic crusade against President Trump, a resident of Palm Beach County, Florida, with the stated goal of destroying him personally, financially and politically”.
Adding that it is, of course, another politically motivated ‘witch hunt.’
