1. Rep. Mark Amodei (R – NV) – Army
Mark Amodei (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. House, representing Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District. Born on June 12, 1958, in Carson City. Amodei served in the U.S. Army from 1984-1987. He assumed office on January 5, 2011, elected to the 112th Congress on September 13, 2011. His current term ends on January 3, 2023.
In the year 1980, he received his B.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno, and did his J.D from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1983.
Mark Amodei has been actively involved in funding over a dozen bills & modifications that were passed on the house floor – comprising the largest reforms to Northern Nevada land holdings in over an era, during his time in Congress.
He along with his staff have been working hard on addressing the disability benefit claims buildup and the team continues to meet with several senior level officials in the Department of Veterans Affairs to find clarifications and solutions to resolve the backlog issues.
Moreover, he has held veterans’ town halls across Nevada for local Nevada veterans with VA personnel and Veterans Service Organizations on hand to deliver support with casework and to discourse any matters of concern.
