5. Huey Long
Popularly known as the “Kingfish,” Huey Long was a Louisiana senator and former governor on his way to the White House. Just like Robert Kennedy, his political ambition was cut short by his mysterious death. Long was shot by one doctor called Carl Weiss after Long had passed a bill that effectively removed his father-in-law, Judge Benjamin Pavy, from office.
Weiss was quickly killed by Long’s bodyguards who shot him 60 times. Because both the victim and assailant were dead, the event was narrated by Long’s bodyguards. There were numerous conspiracy theories that suggested that Weiss attacked Long but never intended to kill him and that it was gunshots from Long’s bodyguards which actually killed Long.
Even today, no one is clear about what really happened.

This could have been a great read but it is riddled with errors, typos, and poor editing. Just one example…Archbishop Romero was NOT killed on United States soil; he was killed in San Salvador. One man’s opinion…if the items are important enough to be written, they should be important enough to be well-written.
All the above deaths and many others like them plus many suicides by notorious criminals while in custody , show the incompetence of our criminal system and the power/influence of few . individuals/organizations/institutions.
The Kennedy assasination was the beginning of the end for American Democracy. “They” then knew that they could get away with anything, and have been ever since.
