As you might know already, Americans have fought in various wars, and many of them were on foreign soil.
As a matter of fact, ever since the mid-19th century, all soldiers from the American army who fought their lives in the service of their country did so in other territories.
As last year the American army left Afghanistan, after 20 years of war, we thought it would be worth mentioning and remembering about seven armed conflicts where the U.S. servicemen in women lost their lives for the sake of their country on foreign soil.
Did you know that there were more battlefield deaths in the American Civil War than in all of the other foreign wars where America participated (except WWII), combined?
