Opponents on the right, however, were quick to clutch their pearls and point to marijuana’s gateway drug status and insist that this policy decision will lead to a surge in drug related crimes and an increase in mental health issues amongst people they already consider slackers that are a drain on society, rather than people who are less of a threat to society than the gun loving Republicans.
Despite the rolling back of Roe v Wade and the subsequent backlash that swept the nation, Democrats have been using that as a rallying call to get voters to the polling booths this November and that might be the one policy that gets Democrats voters
the push they need to reverse this unpopular decision. One so unpopular that even Republican campaigners are beginning to soften their stance on abortion as they see just how detrimental it has been for their election races.
