President Biden has done much to roll back some of Trump’s more hard line decisions, as we’ve mentioned already, like gutting what was seen as draconian immigration policies that demanded asylum seekers must stay in Mexico while their claims are processed.
His recent decision to forgive some student loan debt was lauded for helping many people break from the chains of debt, but that is facing more and more criticism from the right as they look to challenge that decision in the courts.
His other major law and order decision was to announce pardons for individuals with federal marijuana possession convictions. This is a widely popular move welcomed by supporters on the left as this has been a long time coming for them and many hope it is the first step to the complete legalization of marijuana across the nation.
