Bin Laden’s Diary
The SEAL team found his 228-page journal, which contained many of the leader’s thoughts, that he shared with his family members between February and April 2011. While it’s still a bit unclear how many people were living exactly at the compound when the raid happened, we do know that there were many of his wives, alongside their children and grandchildren, but also his couriers and their families.
The diary revealed his beliefs on the 2011 Arab Spring uprisings that took place in many majority-Muslim countries, but also his vision for Al Qaeda’s place in the worldwide politics, which is believed to have been recorded for him by one of his daughters.
Bin Laden said: ” This chaos and absence of leadership in the revolutions is the proper environment to spread al-Qaeda’s thoughts and ideas.” as the journal recalled.
