6. NY Attorney General Investigation
New York Attorney General Letitia James has been relentless in her pursuit of Mr. Trump, three of his children, and the Trump Organization for their part in an expansive fraud lasting over a decade. James is suing all concerned for $250 million, claiming that over the last 10 years they have deceived lenders, insurers, and tax authorities by inflating the value of his properties using misleading appraisals.
The recent appointment of retired Judge Barbara Jones as a monitor over the company that will go through their books and stops any attempts to transfer funds away from any accused people or businesses means that this investigation and possible charges could soon be made. Although Trump has repeatedly called the investigation politically motivated based on James’ electoral ambitions, the numbers don’t lie.
