But in reality, it is a wildly false claim. It’s completely untrue that Trump sent the National Guard to Minneapolis, but also that Democratic leaders refused to ask for help. In fact, it was actually the Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, not Trump, who deployed the Minnesota National Guard amid the protests that followed after the murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis police.
Walz served in the Army National Guard for over two decades, and first activated the Guard more than seven hours before Trump decided to threaten to deploy the Guard himself. When Trump made these false accusations in 2020, Walz’s office explained that the governor was the one who activated the Guard.

I would love to see you dive this deep into statements from all politicians. I believe these “falsehoods” would be seen from all. They all take a small truth and stretch it as far as possible to sway the general public.
I have read your account of President Trump and can say all that’s said here is minor compared to Biden and present government in this country. Remember it was Obama and Holder who colluded with Mexico by sending thousands of firearms into Mexico and these arms disappeared in Mexico. Now back to current President we have become the weakest we have ever been. Want to deny the present corruption by the Biden family to me is far greater a problem than the previous president. The border now in shambles, so who’s responsible now? Wrecking our financial system because of Biden is imminent. Too many screw ups by this current president suggest he as well as Obama were never the right people to run this country. At least president Trump did a good job getting this country back on its feet until the betrayals started by Democrats and certain republicans.

Right now the price in my area is $3.98, and that is the lowest it has been for the last two years. For a long time gas was hovering at almost $5.00 a gallon and our families that were in California had prices in the $6.00 and $7.00 dollar range. Where have you been?

What Trump did do was come through on many of his promises. I really don’t care how he talks because he gave results. The country was moving in the right direction for 3 years before Covid hit. The Dems blamed Trump for Covid deaths but had more under Biden who had the luxury of 3 Vaccines that Trump had rolled out in record time. This is the reason I no longer watch mainstream news. They do everything to maintain a narrative that allows them to remain in power(with the added benefit of getting all the money). Okay “Grampa”, I’m a little confused as to what “proof” you would be looking for that would convince you that something didn’t happen? I’ve seen video of Trump saying that he was told something or heard something and suddenly thousands of his followers are repeating it as if it’s gospel, yet he isn’t required to provide proof. The problem here is that Trump frequently makes allegations that inflame emotions like fear and anger without anything to back it up and then, like the Grinch, he retires to his haunts at the top of the mountain to look down at his handiwork.

This is about a joke almost every single one of these started out pointing out that the statement was mostly true. Then reached really hard to stretch a lie out of it. Then there was some that wasn’t even put into context of what was happening. Like Trump started to call up the guard on a lot of democratic cities where they wouldn’t do anything to protect their people . He was about to in Minnesota witch put the pressure on their governor to do it and they did. The laughable one is the gas prices. Trump had us as the world leader in oil production and look at where we are now. Nice try but who ever wrote this would have been better off saving the paper and ink.
