Simone Gold – Founder of America’s Frontline Doctors

Gold was an emergency physician from L.A. who was chosen by CNP leadership to serve as a point person for a huge Covid disinformation campaign. The plan was put into action through a conference call that took place when the pandemic was first raging, right after Trump had his erratic press conferences.

The idea was to bring physicians that would persuade the public. Gold started attending different conferences and discussions on media platforms that were run by CNP members, disparaging the idea that the virus represented a “huge medical crisis”, and pushing the false hydroxychloroquine “cure”, but also attacking Anthony Fauci.

Morton Blackwell – Founder and president of the Leadership Institute

Blackwell, alongside Paul Weyrich, and Richard Viguerie were three young Goldwater activists when they decided to join forces in the 1960s. The three of them are responsible for creating an entire network of conservative groups, such as the CNP umbrella organization and CPAC.

Blackwell was in charge of training future generations of right-wing political activists. He launched his own Leadership Institute in 1979, which claims to have trained over 200,000 people over its entire history, many of them in the county and state-level sessions in battleground districts. Cleta Mitchell – attorney

Mitchell has been a member of the CNP board of governors for a very long time. She recently appeared on panels at the 2020 CNP meetings, speaking about election integrity. Mitchell was also on the board of directors of the Bradley Foundation, which was run by CNP board member Richard Graber.

After Biden won the elections, Mitchell tweeted that the Georgia recount was “FAKE!!!”. She volunteered as the legal adviser for Trump’s campaign. On January 2, she was linked to Trump’s infamous call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, to whom Trump demanded another 11,780 votes.

The call was eventually leaked, and when her role was disclosed, she was forced to resign from her position at the Foley & Lardner law firm.
