United States Air Forces
Our Air Force has the largest number of warplanes in the entire world, meaning that all the warplanes in the world put together are equal to our fleet. Also, it’s the most technologically advanced fleet in the whole world.
It was founded on 11 September 1947, and the motto was “No One Comes Close”. Starting in 2012, the service operates over 5,638 aircraft, 450 ICBMs, and 63 satellites. It has a huge budget, of $140 billion with 332,854 active duty, 185,522 civilians, and 71,400 Air Force Reserve, but also 106,700 Air National Guard personnel.
The U.S. Air Force has been through many wars, and conflicts using their military air operations. Plus, many members of USAF are extremely health conscious and always adopt physical fitness assessments.
Russian Air Force
The Russian Air Force was founded after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, back in 1991-92, and it very soon became one of the strongest air forces in the whole world. They have gained a lot of practical combat experience while participating in the Spanish Civil War, and against Japan in the far-east.
Back in the 80s, the Russian Air Force deployed as many as 10,000 aircraft, and at the beginning of the 1990s, they had an air force that was believed to have superpower standards. It operates over 3,000 strategic bombers, and 4500 fighter plans like the MiG-29 Fulcrum, and MiG-25 Foxbat. It has somewhere around 3400 attack aircraft such as Su-24 Fencer, Su-25 Frogfoot, and Su-17 Fitter 25 Foxbat.
Israeli Air Force
The Israeli Air Force “Air and Space Arm” was commonly known as the “Air Corps”. It was founded back in 1984, right after Israel won its independence. The fleet had 25 Avia S-199s, which were directly bought from Czechoslovakia, and 62 Supermarine Spitfire.
Nowadays, it has an even larger fleet, with more modern aircraft, many of which are particularly made to meet the requirements of IAF. Looking back in history, this air force had exhibited many times its power to knock down its enemies. Ever since then, the Israel Air Force has been on a constant alert, ready for any possible attacks.
Indian Air Force
The Indian Air Force is the fourth largest air force in the entire world, with approximately 170,000 personnel and 1,500 aircraft. It was first established on 8 October 1932. The Military Schools and Sainik Schools were then founded to broaden the recruitment base of the Defense Forces.
The current President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is the ex-officio Commander-in-Chief of the IAS. It is one of the best-equipped air forces in the whole world, especially when it comes to professional standards.
The Indian Air Force has been involved in many wars, the most recent being the ones with neighboring Pakistan and the ones with the People’s Republic of China. During the Kargil War of 1999, it had given close air support to the Indian Army, by sending helicopters.
Royal Air Force
The Royal Air Force is one of the oldest air forces in the entire world, which is renowned for its strategic bombing. Plus, it’s by far one of the most sophisticated and capable air forces in the whole world. It was founded on 1 April 1918, after the unification of the Royal Naval Air Services and Royal Flying Corps.
It played a huge role in the British Military History in the Second World War. Its motto was “Through Adversity to the Stars.” From 2012, it operated over 826 aircraft, making it one of the largest air force in the European Union, and probably the second largest in NATO.
